BAND-F TRADEMARKS
BAND-F Ltd. is the originator and creator of the Adrenaline Books
adventure literature series, high adventure collections on mountain
climbing, ice climbing, sailing, flight, exploration and more. Several
foreign translations and audio rights were sold. Reviewed by the New
York Times, they were popular in price clubs and placed in the top 50
list for BGI and the Top 150 list for Amazon.com. A second
trademarked imprint, Illumina, featuring collections of literary writings
on health, healing, and spirituality, was also created by BAND-F.
President and Founder f-stop Fitzgerald (www.f-stopfitzgerald.com) is a best-selling author,
international photographer and, as President and Founder of BAND-F LTD., a successful book
packaging entrepreneur. He has extensive expertise in the publishing, printing and photographic
industries and his best-selling collaboration with writer Stephen King, Nightmares in the Sky,
sold over 180,000 copies. Fitzgerald's resume includes high profile positions as senior director of
operations at Avalon Publishing and C.O.O. of Hylas Publishing. His current book, The Mighty
Fallen, with best-selling author Larry Bond, is a heartfelt tribute to America's fallen heroes.
In addition to his duties as President of BAND-F, Fitzgerald is a nationally known documentary
photographer with exhibitions worldwide. His work has appeared in over 100 periodicals,
including Rolling Stone, Spin, GQ, Publishers Weekly, US, the Village Voice, the Washington
Post, San Francisco Examiner, Penthouse, Travel Holiday, Conde Naste Sports for Women and
the San Francisco Chronicle.
Production Director Mie Kingsley is an expert director and facilitator of multi-faceted projects
for the book publishing industry. She held the position of International Sales Coordinator at Hylas
Publishing and has as overseen projects with Harper Collins, Reader's Digest, the AKC, Rodale
Barnes and Noble, and more.
Art Director Maria Fernandez is a graphic designer and page compositor specializing in book
production. She has worked as an independent contractor for the past six years. Her clients have
included Pegasus Books, Neuwirth and Associates, Perseus Books, and Avalon Publishing
Group. Before that she worked as production manager of Balliett and Fitzgerald, Inc. and Avalon
Publishing Group. Maria is a graduate of New York University with a BFA in Photography.
Additionally, BAND-F has accumulated a talented pool of over 100 freelancers. These include
researchers, writers, line editors, copy editors, fact checkers, proofreaders, designers,
illustrators, project managers, photographers, production artists, indexers, photo researchers,
printers and more. BAND-F also has numerous professional contacts with literary agents.
